The mission of PAX sapiens is to use philanthropic funding to help generate new systems of collective coordination to address serious, systemic global problems at the root of armed conflict. To do this, we work with partners to collaboratively develop projects. In this work, we want to identify partnerships that can grow over time until they operate at the scale of major, systemic problems.

One theme of Marcel’s work is an emphasis on coordination and improving the ability of global systems
to make good decisions on the basis of the best available evidence. Collaboration explicitly focuses on bringing together other philanthropic organizations and key stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions to points of agreement about long-term goals in different
issue areas.
